Meisner Trained actor and accomplished photographer, Idalina was born in Toronto, Canada, to Portuguese parents, where she studied drama and musical theatre at The Etobicoke School of the Arts in her early years. In her 20's her passion for photography took her to Paris. There she started to work with Charles Weinstein (Under the Bridge) on script writing, directing and acting and her love for cinema was revived. She began to act in several short films and TV and started writing again. In 2005, she went back to London for the third time and was introduced to the Meisner technique were she studied acting with Scott Williams at the Impulse company. In 2008, Idalina co-founded and became the artistic director of Nightshade Productions which aims to produce thought provoking and quality film that will bring awareness to political and social issues, create more pivotal roles for women in the industry, support new writing, visual and performing artists and provide a platform for their work to be seen. Since then she has produced, written, and directed several short and feature films for her company and in November 2009 became an associate producer (and actor) for the feature film 'The Last Seven' by Press on Features.
